It remains a day for all Guides and Girl Scouts to think of each other and celebrate their sisters all around the world.\nWhy do we celebrate Thinking Day?\nIn 1926, Girl Guide and Girl Scout delegates from around the globe met in the USA for the 4th World Conference. … The delegates chose 22 February as the date for Thinking Day because it was the birthday of both Lord Baden-Powell, founder of the Boy Scout Movement, and Olave Baden-Powell, who was World Chief Guide.\nHow do we celebrate Thinking Day?\n\nLearning about their international sisters in designated focus countries for the year.\nDoing fun and educational activities based on an advocacy theme for the year.\nFundraising for the World Thinking Day Fund.\nEarning the World Thinking Day badge.\n\nEvery year, World Thinking Day has a different theme based on an issue that affects girls and young women around the world. The themes offer a focus point for World Thinking Day activities and provide an opportunity for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts to learn about and take action on issues that are likely to matter to them.
